Hello ,
I got my results, but am a little lost in the overflow of info, and have some difficulties putting it all together. If someone could give some advice.
I am :
COMT V158 AG +- Hetero
COMT H62H CT +- Hetero
VDR TAQ AA ++ Homo
MTR A2746G AG +- Hetero
MTRR A66G AG +- Hetero
MTRR K350A AG +- Hetero
BHMT-02 TT ++ Homo
BHMT-08 CT +- Hetero
CBS C699T AG +- Hetero
CBS N212N AG +- Hetero
MTHFR s are all OK
Blood tests show high B12 and low Homocysteine.
If I understand well I should need methyl donors for the VDR-TAQ, but should avoid be easy on them for COMT.
I allready took some methylB12 in acomplete B-complex.
But seems rather to energising , over the edge.
So if somebody could share some experience ,
Thanks

I would want to know your symptoms or chronic health condition first. You can spend a lot of time chasing around SNP's that are NOT a lead contributor to your health situation. Also, how were your mitochondrial genes?

My understanding is that by themselves, these SNPs do not necessarily mean anything -- just a predilection you have; what matters is whether or not they are actually expressing. You don't mention any symptoms you are experiencing, but they would also guide you. Rather than the uneven advice of anonymous strangers, my suggestion is to find a genetics literate doc who can talk you through these (even if it's just a one-time consult).
Most doctors who described their practice as "functional medicine" could help you.
FWIW, re: the seemingly high levels of serum B12. In me it's because my body does not recycle B12 effectively (yes, due to genetics), so what looks like high levels is actually a "log jam" and I suffer from "downstream" symptoms of B12 deficiency. I could not handle methyl B12-- it caused me to hypermethylate, which is a terrible feeeling (anxious, agitated). I self-inject the hydroxycobalamin version and also get a once-weekly IV of several nutrients, including the somewhat harder to find hydroxycobalamin B12 (to bypass GI issues that linger after a biotoxin illness). Hope this helps!

I can't answer that about 699T.
Maybe this is relevant

besides the genie report, there is also

He answers various questions from people so do a search there

Thanks,
There is one thing I still do not get out .
Is C699T AG +- an ammonia issue at all or is it only C699T AA ++
There is so contradictory info on the net depending if they believe Dr Yasko or not .

I was overwhelmed with the information also
go to this link ...
http://forums.phoenixrising.me/index.php?threads/snps-interpretation-guide.32187/
under the first post is an attachment which is the guide ... just search for word guide if it isn't obvious
just realize it will take time to understand things
if i take just tiny amounts of methylfolate or methyl ccobalamin, it can make me sick
there are some online programs that help with interpretation also
